Iceland has become a very popular destination in recent years, but very few travellers make it to Greenland in spite of the lure of its natural wonders. On this trip we meet local people and experience the real culture of these fabulous countries – don’t expect your typical tourist highlights!

Northern Lights – this tour includes a short presentation about the Northern Lights and hopefully we will witness for ourselves this amazing phenomenon during our tour.

  • Meet & interact – meet with local families in Greenland for coffee and conversation, learn traditional ways of life from local people living in isolated locations
  • Markets – Reynisfjara, a traditional craft market
  • Demonstration - learn about Icelandic cheese and the unique dairy product skyr, a cooking demonstration of the traditional tomato soup
  • Experience – bathe in natural hot springs and pools surrounded by volcanic scenery, opportunities to see the Northern Lights, feel the heat at The Icelandic Lava Show, enjoy a performance at the Harpa theatre
  • Food & drink – cook a delicious lunch using hot springs, try Icelandic Brennivín and fermented shark
  • Landscapes and wildlife – on and around Eqi see icebergs, glaciers and whale spotting, chance to see the Atlantic Puffin, meet the Icelandic Horses, visit Haukadalur, which contains the geysers Geysir and Strokkur, see the waterfalls of Gullfoss and Seljalandsfoss
  • Travel – by boat on a sunset cruise to the famous Ilulissat Icefiord, by jeep to the starting point in the south of Iceland and then hike in a beautiful landscape, surrounded by hot springs, full day boat trip to Eqi, a ferry ride to the Westman Islands
