Who are these holidays for?

These are immersive food holidays for the curious. They aim to put the dishes you’ll eat into cultural context, offering personal encounters with the people who create them in relaxed environments and with a welcoming atmosphere, whether you’re a seasoned foodie or someone who appreciates a good meal and local cuisine. We will show you how food transcends the boundaries of language, we’ll treat you to a slice of history with each mouthful and we’ll remove the snobbery that often surrounds gourmet experiences.

The experiences on offer

On our Parma holiday, you’ll watch the celebrated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese being made before heading high into the Apennine woods to hunt porcini mushrooms. In vibrant Seville, take part in a ‘perfect paella’ cookery class and accept an invitation to the Manzanilla sherry cellars of Sanlúcar de Barrameda for a tasting. Uncover the secrets of the world’s most expensive ingredient at a saffron farm in Thessaloniki and sample the sweet known as a calisson at its prestigious producer in Provence – the choice is yours.

Where will we be staying?

Accommodation for each of these holidays will be in 3* and 4* hotels, all located in the heart of the cities you can choose from. This way, when you have some downtime from the cookery classes, tasting experiences and visits, you’ll be able to make the most of the area and explore at leisure. With these new itineraries, we have made sure to keep your holiday at the heart of it all – there will always be some free time to relax or wander the charming streets and only a select number of meals are included because we know you’ll want to choose your own restaurants or seek out your own hidden gems!

Which flavour suits you best?

So, now all that’s left to do is decide where to go. If pasta’s your weakness, choose Bologna. For the wine-lovers among us, join our Provence trip and let us whisk you off to a vineyard to sample Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Fancy amazing tapas? Treat yourself to a place on our Seville holiday. Whatever it is you’re hungry for, we hope you find something to inspire your travels among the following pages and we look forward to welcoming you on a food holiday to remember in 2020.
